JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported that a missing child was found after disappearing in a boating accident this Saturday afternoon near Huguenot Memorial Park.
According to JFRD, units responded to a call at around 12:02 p.m. about a missing child near 10900 Heckscher Dr. near Huguenot Memorial Park. Preliminary investigations determined that the child fell off a boat.
With the help of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Huguenot lifeguards, JFRD conducted a search and rescue on both land and in the water.
The child was found safe after thirty minutes of searching and sustained no injuries.
