JFRD working on a residential fire in the Southside area, large amounts of smoke visible

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is working on a residential structure fire in the 14400 block of Aldea Cove Drive.

Action News Jax is at the scene, and multiple JFRD and JSO vehicles can be spotted near the affected structure. A large amount of smoke can be seen filling the area.

We are working to know the extent of the scene and the number of those affected.

Drivers in the area should expect major delays for an unknown amount of time.
