JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested Cashmere Bland, 19, on Wednesday in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, March 16. He has been arrested for suspected murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to JSO.

The murder victim was found dead after his vehicle crashed in the 6400 block of Atlantic Boulevard. An investigation revealed that Bland walked up to the driver’s door of a vehicle with individuals he knew inside.

The suspect allegedly robbed the driver and then proceeded to shoot the victim at close range, killing him. A second victim sitting in the passenger seat was also shot and survived.

In March 2018, Bland was also arrested and later found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in public, JSO said.
