Action News Jax reporter Courtney Cole said that the victim's family members weren’t comfortable talking on camera. They want people to know that he was a good kid, who came from a good family, and that this shouldn’t have happened.
Cole was there as a tow truck, followed by a JSO car, left the scene. JSO did not say what role the car played in the shooting or who the car belonged to.
Cole was also there as a van drove into Morningside Apartments to retrieve the body of the man who was shot and killed. She said there were "quite a few people standing near the crime scene tape."
