The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting in 2300 block of Philips Highway in San Marco.
JSO said around 4:46 p.m. a patrol unit as well as fire rescue were sent to the Scottish Inn located in the 2300 block of Philips highway.
JSO said, when crews got to the scene they found a man shot in the street. The man was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Investigators are conducting interviews and meeting with anyone who may have information regarding this.
The Sheriff's Office described the victim as a black male between the ages of 25 and 45.
The Sheriff's Office said the victim was on the Scottish Inn property when an argument broke out and the victim was shot.
The Sheriff's Office said a suspect may have fled on foot, wearing a hoodie.
