JSO looking for teen with info on fatal shooting at house party

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for a 21-year-old believed to have information about a fatal shooting at a Westside house party.

Detectives believe he has information about the April 23, 2016 shooting on Liska Drive in Ortega Farms that killed 19-year-old Jonah Golden.

The new details come just two days after Golden’s mom, Rebecca Harp, went before our camera Wednesday and pleaded for help in finding her son’s killer.

"It's like you’re holding your breath. And you're just waiting to take another breath,” said Harp.

Action News Jax reported back in April that neighbors called police several times to break up the party where 40 to 50 were attending. Another person was also injured by a bullet that night but survived.

Since the news conference on Wednesday, Crime Stoppers said it’s received two tips related to Golden’s case.

Friday afternoon, JSO released Wilkes' picture in the hopes of generating more tips.

JSO said Wilkes currently has two outstanding warrants for driving with a suspended license but would not refer to him as a suspect or a person of interest.

Golden’s mom hopes more people come forward to help solve this crime.

"I need for them to give it up. We need the information. We need to know,” said Harp.

Anyone with any information about the location of Kyon Wilkes is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or email them at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.

To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
