JSO makes arrest in hit-and-run that killed motorcyclist

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office have made an arrest in the hit-and-run accident that killed a motorcyclist on Saturday.

JSO said in a statement that James Taylor, 38, was arrested for leaving the scene of a traffic crash involving death and driving while his license was suspended, causing death.

Dontai Locklear, 28, was traveling east on San Juan Avenue Saturday when a vehicle made a right turn from Hyde Park Drive, striking Locklear.

Taylor left the scene, and Locklear was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

JSO was able to review video from a store in the area of the traffic crash to identify Taylor leading to his arrest.
