JSO: Man injures head in fight due to argument with former employer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that a man was injured due to a physical altercation at Eden Street and Potomac Street.

At approximately 11 a.m., officers responded and located a 20-year-old man who had been injured in the head. Thankfully, the victim only sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a minor wound.

Detectives learned from victim statements that an argument between the victim and a former employer had ensued, and became involved in a physical altercation resulting in the victim being injured.

JSO has reported that neither of the parties involved in this incident was injured due to gunfire, as first reported.

Detectives are actively searching for the suspect, who fled, and the Aggravated Battery Unit is following up.
