JSO Officer attacked outside Walmart Supercenter, receives warm sendoff after hospitalization

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer who was brutally attacked outside a Walmart Supercenter has been discharged from the hospital, receiving a touching sendoff from her fellow first responders. The officer was hospitalized following the attack, which took place on Thursday morning.

Today, the female officer, whose identity is protected by Marsy’s Law, was discharged from the hospital amid a heartwarming farewell from JFRD, FHP, JSO, and UF Health personnel.

The Fraternal Order of Police in Jacksonville hailed the officer as a hero and emphasized that it is their responsibility and honor as her “Blue Family” to congratulate her on her release and wish her well on her long road to recovery.

“This hero goes home to begin her long road to recovery. It is our duty and privilege as her Blue Family to welcome her out and wish her well!!”
