JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced a pregnant female was found dead inside Riverview Park early Saturday.
JSO Sgt Edwin Cayenne said officers received a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. reporting an unresponsive Black female at the park, located on the Trout River in northwest Jacksonville. The caller told dispatchers they came across the victim as they were walking through the park.
The woman was pronounced dead by first responders.
Investigators say the victim’s death is suspicious with foul play suspected.
The homicide is being investigated by JSO and the State Attorney’s Office.
