Woman shot while trying to break up dispute near Downtown Jacksonville, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JSO reports another shooting has occurred on 1000 Golfair Blvd. at around 6 a.m., which is located near Downtown Jacksonville.

Upon arriving at the scene, JSO located a Black woman who had been shot in the wrist. She was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

Two suspects were apprehended at the scene. The shooter is believed to be a Black man in his mid-twenties, and the second man is a Black man in his late thirties. The latter was taken to the hospital to treat cuts to the forehead.

JSO is not looking for any more suspects at this time.

JSO says it appears the woman was shot when she tried to break up a dispute between the two men.

This marks the fourth shooting Sunday morning in Duval County.

Officers are currently speaking to witnesses and canvassing the area for further evidence.
