Man reported missing on Jacksonville’s southside found safe

Jacksonville, Fl — UPDATE: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says James Stellacie has been found. No other details on his whereabout were released.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in locating a missing man in his late 70s.

James Stellacie was reported missing by family members after he did not return to his home on Cortez Road on the city’s southside.

Police say Stellacie, who is 77, was believed to be driving a 2011 electric blue Toyota Scion with Florida Tag DV9881D.

Officers say given Stellacie’s age, they are trying to ascertain his safety. Stellacie is 5′8′' and 140 lbs. He has hazel eyes and gray hair. It’s not known what clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
