JSO: Man killed after being ejected from vehicle in crash on Old Plank Rd.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported a traffic accident with a fatality on the 10300 block of Old Plank Rd. Saturday night.

According to the JSO report, a man in his twenties was driving a Chevrolet Silverado in the westbound direction along Old Plank Road at approximately 8:15 p.m.

the vehicle veered off the road for unknown reasons and crashed into the roadside ditch on the south side of the road, resulting in the driver being ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue (JFRD) arrived on the scene and declared the victim dead on site.

The accident was a single-vehicle incident, with no other individuals injured or involved.

This accident has marked the 40th traffic-related fatality in Duval County so far this year.
