JSO: Two shot inside home on Hawthorne St.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported a shooting occurred Sunday morning at 8100 Hawthorne St.

At approximately 12:55 a.m., officers were dispatched and located two victims: a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the chest and a 30-year-old woman with gunshot wounds in her stomach and leg.

Both victims were transported to a hospital by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

No witnesses have yet been identified.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating and are working to identify the suspect, who may be known to the victims.
