JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people are dead following a shooting at a home in the 2900 block of West 2nd Street in Jacksonville Sunday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
WHAT WE KNOW:
- JSO and JFRD were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. in reference to a shooting and found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds
- The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the woman died of her injuries at a local hospital
- Police believe the two people knew each other and it appears it started as an altercation which turned physical
- Police are not looking for any suspects
- Several witnesses remained at the scene and are cooperating
- Several people were in the home
- The shooting victims were found outside the home
- Police said the incident involves crime scenes outside and inside the home
- There were several 911 calls made regarding the incident, including one from a witness inside the home
- The man and woman were both in their mid 20s
