23-year-old Lake City officer diagnosed with cancer

Lake City, Fla. — The Lake City Police Department announced Tuesday that one of their officers is battling cancer at just 23 years old.

Officer Taylor Sapp has been diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma, a cancer that starts in cells that are part of the body’s immune system [1].

The LCPD said Taylor will take time off from serving her community while undergoing treatment.

Taylor’s friends and family have organized a GoFundMe to raise money for looming medical expenses.
