CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The evacuation of Lakeside Junior High School has been lifted after a bomb threat.
Around 9:45 Tuesday morning, officials say someone called in a bomb threat.
School officials treated it like a fire drill. Students and teachers were evacuated to the gym, which is located behind the school.
Clay County Sheriff’s Office checked out the school and found the threat was not credible.

The sheriff’s office gave the all clear, and kids were able to return to classes.
Action News Jax spoke to some concerned parents that said they found out about the evacuation through the news and not the school.
“As we know that everything is clear, we communicate that via Facebook notification, so they will get that right to their phone. Mr. McDonald (a school staff member) is making calls by phone right now,” said Gavin Rollins, with Clay County schools.
School officials say the school is safe, and the students are back to their normal schedule.
