Ocearch posted a picture of a large white shark Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission scientists spotted Tuesday.
Ocearch said the white shark was spotted during a survey about 25 miles off the coast of St. Augustine.
FWC told Ocearch they estimate the size of the white shark to be between 12 and 15 feet long.
Ocearch said in their post, "It’s a good sign for the expedition we’re about to kick off in less than two weeks from Jacksonville."
