The building on Philips Highway that used to be home to Latitude 360 will soon be abuzz with activity again.
Main Event Entertainment's Jacksonville location is set to open on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
According to its website, Main Event Entertainment offers "state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, gravity ropes adventure courses, billiards, video games and more."
They serve food and drink such as "delicious food from fresh Italian street market options to bar favorites to full-on casual dining, along with cocktails, beer and wine."
Action News Jax first reported in September that Main Event would be occupying the former Latitude 360 spot and hiring 150 full- and part-time workers. A plan for a nearly $4 million renovation of the building was approved by the city, according to the Jax Daily Record.
St. Johns County teen beat girlfriend, called her 200 times after incident, police say
Action News Jax spent months investigating failed local hot spot Latitude 360 after it suddenly shut its doors in January 2016, leaving employees jobless and without pay.
In September, then-State Attorney Angela Corey said her team was investigating upwards of 10 people who had been involved in managing the company’s finances.
Main Event Entertainment is also taking over the former Latitude 360 location in Indianapolis that shut down as well. That location is set to open in the spring, according to Main Event's website.
