Traffic is running smoothly on the Main St. Bridge after a malfunction shut down both lanes of traffic early Wednesday evening.
The bridge was closed to drivers for a little over an hour.
Action News Jax is working to learn the exact cause of the closure.

The Main St. Bridge in downtown Jacksonville has been closed due to a malfunction.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday evening that the malfunction is currently impacting both lanes of traffic.
It is not known at this time when the bridge will reopen.
