JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man accused of operating a chop shop is out on bond after being arrested Monday. That’s when police found Sean Hacker whilst investigating the whereabouts of a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover, a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrest report states.
The last LoJack ping on the Range Rover was 10:55 a.m. Monday in a lot at 2150 Soutel Drive. “The parking lot appeared to be some sort of automotive repair shop or scrap yard,” the report states.

As the officers tried to locate the Range Rover, they observed an open garage door. Hacker, 36, was inside and identified himself to the officers, the report states. He then told officers he was cooperating and produced paperwork for the vehicles on the site.
“During the inspection the stolen Range Rover was no where to be found,” the report states. “He [Hacker] gave troopers consent to search the property and said he will cooperate.”
While investigators didn’t find the stolen Range Rover, they did find parts from a blue BMW X4M Competition including doors, hood, trunk lid, seats, headlights, and other miscellaneous interior parts stacked in a corner of the shop, the report states. Officers checked the vehicle identification number on the parts which revealed Miami Gardens Police Department reported it stolen Feb. 4, 2024.
JSO’s Auto Crimes Task Force was called in and Hacker was placed under arrested. Authorities continued searching the garage and found a “Honda Grom motorcycle with the VIN intentionally ground off (contraband), a Toyota forklift with the VIN label intentionally removed (contraband), and a Sea Doo Jet Ski with the Hull Number intentionally removed (contraband). The Sea Doo’s state registration numbers were also removed,” the report states.
The report notes that officers were called to the garage on Dec. 14, 2024 when a LoJack ping from a Mercedes G-Wagon alerted investigators to that location. Like the Range Rover, the G-Wagon was not located, the report states.
The alleged stolen vehicles were towed from the site and Hacker was charged with Own, Operate, or Conduct a Chop Shop and three counts of Possession or an Altered or Forged Motor Vehicle/Motor Home Title. Hacker is scheduled to be arraigned in Duval County Circuit Court Feb. 4.
