Man arrested in St. Johns County after allegedly robbing store, threatening clerk with knife

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Clifton Givens was arrested for armed robbery in Nocatee, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4 a.m. on Jan. 18, deputies responded to the Daily’s on Settlement Drive for reports of an armed robbery.

According to SJSO, Givens entered the store “brandishing a knife.” He threatened the clerk and stole a pack of firewood.

Surveillance video shows Givens stabbing objects on the counter and throwing an item toward the clerk.

Givens was found nearby and arrested.

He was charged with Robbery with a Weapon, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Petit Theft, and Criminal Mischief.

Givens remains in jail on no bond.
