Police said a bicyclist died trying to cross a busy road Tuesday night.
Police say a 29-year-old man was hit by an SUV on Beach Boulevard near Adventure Landing. Police said he failed to yield to the SUV.
"I'm thinking to myself, I'm watching someone get run over right now," said Audrey Morris, a witness.

Just seconds before the crash, Morris said she almost hit another bicyclist.
"I see somebody in black on a bicycle just dart out right in front of me, so I slammed on the breaks," she said.
Fortunately she didn't, but the driver behind her did. Police said the driver is cooperating, and they don't believe alcohol was involved.

According to police, there have been four crashes at this intersection since 2014 – none included bicyclists, and none were serious. A spokesperson with the police department said he wouldn't consider this a problem area.
"They didn't even look to the right. Neither one of those bicyclists," Morris said.
Morris said these kinds of crashes can be avoided.
"People who ride bicycles at night should have lights on their bikes. I mean both front and back, and they shouldn't wear all black," she said.
Beach Boulevard received a D grade when it comes to traffic.
