JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was treated for an injury he received after being shot Tuesday in the 1100 block of West 5th Street. The victim, a man in his 20s, was walking in the area at about 5 p.m. when he was approached by two people he didn’t know, a Jacksonville police news release states.

One of them pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The assailants left the area on foot. Police arrived on the scene and found the victim suffering from a bullet graze wound to his arm. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department treated the man on the scene. No arrests were made.

Woman shot in shoulder
About two hours later, police responded to another shooting near the Grove Park area.
In that incident, a woman was inside of a unit at the Shore House apartment complex in the 400 block of Century 21 Drive when she got into a dispute with someone. That person pulled out a gun and shot her one time, police said. She was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
“The victim and suspect knew each other, and we believe this to be an isolated incident,” JSO said.
