JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 12/5/2021: After an investigation, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office determined that Patrick Lee Smith (25) was a suspect in the shooting death of the victim who was shot on Nov. 20.
Smith was subsequently taken into custody and arrested for murder.

A man was found shot to death in an Arlington neighborhood Saturday morning.
The sheriff’s office said just after 2 a.m. patrol officers responded to a shooting on Burlingame Court where they found a man on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A witness reportedly told police the victim and another man were arguing outside on a sidewalk when the victim was shot. Officers say the suspect drove off in a gold-colored sedan.
Police do not believe either men are from the area and are working to determine why they in the neighborhood.
