Young man shot to death in Jacksonville Heights area, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young man is dead and police are working to learn who shot him.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they received a call Sunday at 8:25 p.m. about a person that had been shot in the 5100 block of Lambing Road near Susie Street in the Jacksonville Heights area.

Police say they found the man said to be between the ages of 18 and 21 in the road. He had been shot multiple times, according to JSO.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police say there was also a vehicle in the area that had been shot at several times.
