COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — After multiple days on the run, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been taken into custody Saturday afternoon over the county line in Suwannee County.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the search first began Friday when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Ford truck in Fort White that had been reported stolen a day before.

White reportedly took deputies on a chase into Suwannee County, then back to Columbia, before crashing on SW Old Spanish Road.

He ran away, and managed to evade law enforcement for two days, despite the help of the Florida Highway Patrol, Suwannee County deputies, drones and K9 tracking teams.
