Medtown Pharmacy is giving out 300 doses of the Pfizer vaccine

If you still haven’t received your COVID-19 vaccine, there’s another site on Beach Boulevard offering the Pfizer vaccine for two days only.

Medtown Pharmacy is giving out 300 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Local pharmacies like Medtown Pharmacy are stepping up to help vaccinate the community.

37-year-old Marcia Williams decided to get the vaccine to help protect her family since she has a 9-year-old son at home.

“I just want to make sure both of us at some point get the vaccine. You know he will get his vaccine too and we will we’ll be protected from COVID,” Williams said.

Medtown Pharmacy will be offering the Pfizer vaccine Monday and Tuesday.

Starting Monday, those 16 and up can get the vaccine with their parent’s permission.

“You have to have your parents sign the consent form and be present with you,” Felicia Alvarez, RN with STAT Training Solutions, said.

ID will be requested, but it’s not required.

The pharmacy wants to make sure everyone is able to have access to the vaccine.

“And everyone gets the vaccination free of charge. We asked for information, but if they don’t have things, they’re still welcome to come,” Alvarez said.

Panama Park Pharmacy is another local pharmacy that’s currently offering shots to those who want it them.

Williams said getting this vaccine represents a chance to return to a sense of normalcy.

“I really excited for the day to come that we can just take our mask off and not need to wear them anymore and be able to hug other people, my friends, my family,” Williams said.

Medtown Pharmacy is also offering PCR testing for COVID-19 until September.

The Pharmacy told Action News Jax it’s hopeful that it’ll get another shipment of vaccines by the end of the week.

Right now, those vaccines are being given out today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 11643 Beach Blvd Unit A, Jacksonville, FL 32246
