Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says we’ll see little to no relief with mostly sunny skies and minimal chances for rain throughout the week.
The heat, combined with a lack of rainfall, is going to heighten our wildfire risk throughout the week.
A signal next Saturday has been showing a little rain now for awhile, but it doesn’t look like a lot. The Yellow Bluff fire that caused a 20-hour closure of I-95 at the end of last week, grew to more than 600 acres over the weekend. By Sunday evening, the fire was 65% contained and only light smoke was in the area east of I-95 near Pecan Park Road.
