Mild start to the week before late week storm system

Jacksonville, Fl — We’re off to a comfortable start to the week. Action News Jax Meteorologist Corey Simma is tracking temperatures near 70 through mid-week with lots of sunshine today.

Overnight, we drop down to the lower to mid 50s under a mostly cloudy sky. Our sky will gradually become mostly sunny again tomorrow. Wednesday looks to be close to average in the upper 60s.

Thursday is looking like the warmest day of the week, with temperatures in the mid and upper 70s ahead of a cold front that arrives late. Rain and thunderstorms may linger into early Friday, so be prepared for a slower than normal drive to work and school. Temperatures will only be in the mid-60s on Friday.

We dry out and cool down for the weekend. It’s looking breezy and chilly on Saturday for the Jaguars playoff game against the Chargers. Tailgating will be in the 50s and kickoff will be in the 40s.
