Missing Jacksonville woman may be injured

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — (ActionNewsJax) It's now been more than 24 hours since anyone last saw 34-year-old Amy Brooks.

The woman hasn't been seen since Tuesday night when she vanished near Myrtle Avenue and W. 7th Street.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office believes she got into a fight and may be injured, but detectives are not saying what the fight was about.
A neighbor, Leroy Kelly, suspected something wasn't right Wednesday afternoon.
"I saw two police cars.  They went, knocked on the door. They stayed for a while I saw him writing up paperwork," said Kelly.
A police report obtained by Action News showed Brooks was released from jail Tuesday, the same day she disappeared.  She was arrested on a drug possession charge.
The next day her mother reported her missing.  Brooks has bipolar disorder, and according to her mother, is off her medications.
Call 911 if you see Brooks.   She may be walking with a limp caused by a previous injury.
