JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The mother of missing toddler Lonzie Barton did not show for her pretrial hearing in Duval County court Tuesday morning.

Lonna Lauramore Barton is in Baker County jail on drug charges that are not connected to the investigation of her son. Lonzie's father, Chris Barton, was arrested in Baker County on drug charges.
In Duval County, Lauramore Barton faces charges in the disappearance of Lonzie including child neglect and giving false information to police.

The judge in the Lauramore Barton trial will be the same as the one presiding over the case of her boyfriend. The change was made “In the interest of efficient administration of justice,” documents show.
Ebron, Lauramore Barton’s boyfriend, is set for trial on Dec. 7. Ebron faces two counts of child neglect and one count of giving false information to police. However, more charges were added when the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they uncovered an escape plot.
