The names of three local firefighters were added to the Fallen Firefighter Memorial at the Florida Fire College in Ocala.
These names were among the 16 firefighters honored at a ceremony on Friday
Here are the names:
Lake City Fire Chief Randy Burnham
JFDR Engineer Michael Freeland
Florida’s Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis took part in the event to honor the fallen heroes.
Patronis said, “The names etched on this memorial echo a costly reminder that selfless service does not come without sacrifice.”
