“It’s about some cash that may or may not have been missing. Trying to investigate if it is and who may have had access to it,” said Leeper.
Action News Jax has been working to get more details from Nassau County Attorney Mike Mullin on the possible missing cash, and why the county asked the Sheriff’s Office to investigate.

We also reached out to Stankiewicz by phone and email to try to get his side of the story, but we have not heard back.
Stankiewicz used to hold the title of assistant county manager.
Stankiewicz’s LinkedIn page says he was the Union County clerk of courts’ chief financial officer from 2013-2015.
