9 arrested in Nassau County Sheriff’s Office operation “Highway to Jail”

YULEE, Fla. — On Oct. 21st, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office along with four other law enforcement agencies arrested 9 people during a traffic enforcement operation “Highway to Jail.”

Multiple narcotics were seized including marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl and meth. A Ruger semi-automatic handgun was also recovered, according to NCSO.

The youngest arrested was a 23-year-old from Fernandina Beach. He was arrested for possession of marijuana.

The oldest was a 50-year-old from Callahan who was charged with driving under the influence.

The four agencies that assisted NCSO were the Fernandina Beach Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, and North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA).

  • Joseph Johnson, 33, Yulee
  • Joshua Glenn, 29, Fernandina Beach
  • Lesa Tison, 50, Callahan
  • Rebecca Brantley, 41, Jacksonville
  • Steven Smith, 30, Gainesville
