NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — The daughter of another fallen Nassau County Sheriff’s Office deputy visited the memorial of Deputy Joshua Moyers to pay her respects.
Action News Jax reported in November of 2016 when NCSO Deputy Eric Oliver was hit and killed by a car on State Road 200 while chasing Francisco Portillo-Fuentes, a suspect fleeing from federal officers.
His daughter, Shelby Oliver, was just 6 years old at the time of his death.

The community showed an outpouring of love for Oliver’s family and even began a gift drive for Shelby that year, after her father died in the line of duty a month before the Christmas holiday.
In a social media post on Wednesday, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of Shelby, leaving flowers and $100 at Moyers’ growing memorial.
Moyers died Sunday following injuries he sustained after being shot during a traffic stop in Callahan on Friday.
