YULEE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol has identified a man killed in a two-car crash on U.S. 17 at Hamilton Street in Nassau County on Wednesday.

FHP said a 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Fred Westerfield III, 60, of St. Marys, Georgia, was traveling southbound on U.S. 17 when it veered into the northbound lane for unknown reasons.
Westerfield’s truck collided with a 2013 Ford F-150.
Westerfield was killed in the crash and the driver of the 2013 Ford suffered critical injuries, FHP said.
No charges are being filed in this crash at this time.
