FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — A Nassau County woman won big on a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.

Cheryl Furnia, 62, of Fernandina Beach, bought a $5,000,000 GOLD RUSH CLASSIC Scratch-Off game from Flash Foods at 925-A S. 14th Street.

She won the $1 million prize, which she chose to receive as a lump-sum payment of $710,000, according to the Florida Lottery.

The $20 game launched in October 2018 and gives players the opportunity to win up to $5,000,000. Overall odds of winning are one-in-2.99, the Lottery said.
