YULEE, Fla. — UPDATE, 2/24/2020: The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office told Action News Jax the case against the teacher has been closed and no charges will be filed against the teacher.

Action News Jax has learned a former teacher and coach at Yulee Middle School is being investigated by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and the Nassau County School District.
This is after a female student made a complaint.
Deputies began investigating on Jan. 31 and the teacher resigned on Feb 6.
The school district said in a statement, in part:
“... He was a teacher and coach at Yulee Middle School. He resigned his position on February 6, 2020. The district is aware that the Sheriff’s Office has an open investigation ... and has cooperated fully with the investigation. The district does not comment on pending investigations."
Action News Jax is not naming the teacher at this time, as he has not been charged with a crime.
