YULEE, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mark Shawn Allen, 56, on a child abuse charge on Sunday.
A woman advised police that the victim came home hysterical and told her that two men, Allen and another man, made the girl drive them to the Sunoco gas station located at 463152 State Road 200 in Yulee to get more beer, police said.
The girl did not have a valid driver’s license, but was made to drive because both men because they were heavily intoxicated, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office. From the back seat, Allen allegedly reached up and touched the girl’s breasts inappropriately.
The victim told police that the man in the passenger seat told Allen to stop, and when he did not, he moved to the back seat and began “beating [Allen] up."

Allen later told police he was drunk. had “blacked out” and did not remember what had happened. He also told police that when he was made aware of what he had done, that he made contact with the victim and apologized for his behavior.
Police inspected the car allegedly taken to the gas station and found blood on the interior real passenger side door panel, and that the door panel had been cracked.
The Department of Children and Families were notified of the incident.
