Neighbors can now help county leaders develop future projects

CLAY COUNTY, Fla — Clay County will be hosting a series of meetings where neighbors can help county leaders develop future projects.

These meetings, which are taking place from May through June, will focus on a strategic plan for Clay County.

Neighbors can also share their thoughts by completing a quick survey at https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cwK2Z4FBmlUMgvA.

Strategic plan meetings:

· Monday, May 15 at Fleming Island Library (1895 Town Center Blvd.) from 6-7:30 p.m.

· Monday, May 22 at the County Administration Building (477 Houston St.) from 6-7:30 p.m.

· Wednesday, May 24 at Middleburg-Clay Hill Library (2245 Aster Ave.) from 6-7:30 p.m.

· Thursday, June 1 at Orange Park Library (2054 Plainfield Ave.) from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 5 at Plantation Oaks Athletic Center Grand Banquet Hall (845 Oakleaf Plantation Pkwy.) from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

· Sunday, June 14 at Keystone Heights Pavilion (565 S. Lawrence Blvd.) from 6-7:30 p.m.

These meetings, along with meetings held with nonprofits and economic development organizations, will help county leaders and commissioners develop measurable goals as they plan projects to address different priorities.

At the beginning of each meeting, attendees will learn about current county projects and those that are in the works.

The Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) will analyze data from these meetings and draft a report of the findings and the county’s priorities.
