State Attorney releases new video evidence against St. Johns Co. teen murder suspect Aiden Fucci

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The State Attorney’s Office has disclosed new video evidence in the murder case against Aiden Fucci, the St. Johns County teen accused of killing his classmate Tristyn Bailey.

Bailey’s body was discovered on Mother’s Day in the Durbin Crossing neighborhood. Investigators say the 13-year-old had been stabbed over 100 times. Fucci, 14, is the only suspect in the murder.

Surveillance footage and multiple Snapchat videos are among the new evidence.

In a surveillance video taken inside his family’s home, Fucci’s mother, Crystal Smith, can be seen entering her son’s bedroom after he was taken to the sheriff’s office and scrubbing blood off Fucci’s jeans. In June, SJSO charged Smith with tampering with evidence. She was released on a $25,000 bond.

In a Snapchat video, Fucci can be seen sitting in the back of a patrol car with another teenage boy.

“Having fun. In a cop car,” the boys can be heard saying.

In the same video, the pair begin to address Bailey directly before the video cuts off.

In another Snapchat, Fucci sits in a patrol car alone.

“Guess who’s in a f—g cop car, guys? Trippin’ dude, ” a frustrated Fucci says in the clip.
