HASTINGS, Fla. — A new historical marker honoring the Wetumpka Fruit Company is being unveiled in St. Johns County on Saturday.

The marker commemorates the impact the company has on helping Hastings become the potato capital of the state, according to a social media post.
It’s provided by the State of Florida’s Division of Historical Resources.
The unveiling ceremony is at 9 a.m. on Jan. 4.
It will be at 308 N. Main Street in Hastings.
