CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and police officers in Orange Park are doing something special to support the cause and hope for a cure: wearing pink badges.
Breast cancer is considered the most common cancer in American women.
Women can get a breast cancer screening, in which -- breasts are examined before they are actually experiencing any possible symptoms. Mammograms can spot breast cancer early, allowing doctors to treat the disease before it's large enough to be felt or cause symptoms.
