JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — BREAKING UPDATE:
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested William Broadnax, 40, in the murder of Derrick Hartley.

Hartley was killed Saturday night after a dispute escalated, according to JSO.
Broadnax fled before police arrived at the scene, but police said several witnesses provided valuable information that led to the arrest of the suspect a short time later.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Department responded to 35th Street and Moncrief Road in reference to a person shot on Saturday around 11:50 p.m., according to JSO.
As officials arrived, they located an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. JSO said the man was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Witnesses at the scene told JSO that the incident began as an argument in a parking lot.
