Jacksonville, Fla. — At least one person is dead after a wrong-way crash Sunday on Atlantic and University boulevards.
Police said a sedan was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of University Boulevard south of Atlantic when it collided with a truck driving southbound.
According to witnesses, the sedan was traveling on its side with two tires on the road. The responding officer saw the two vehicles and was able to extinguish a fire from one of the vehicles.

A rescue unit arrived and took one of the drivers to a nearby hospital, but the other driver died at the scene, police said.
Traffic homicide is investigating the crash.
Police are still investigating and will provide more information as it becomes available.
