Original story: One person is dead after a porta-potty fire on Horseshoe Road S. in St. Augustine, the sheriff's office reports.
Neighbors tell Action News Jax they heard an explosion around 7 a.m. and saw a fire.
The porta-potty was in front of a home under construction on Horseshoe Road.
Neighbors say it had been in front of the home for at least five months.
The home owner said no one was scheduled to work on the house today.
Action News Jax watched as the forensics team gathered evidence where the porta-potty once stood. It was burned to the ground, no longer recognizable.

Neighbors told Action News Jax they have no idea who was inside.
The medical examiner’s office and crime scene unit responded to the scene and the investigation is on-going.
