The tweets have now been deleted, but the page remains active.

A representative from Clay County Schools said two online threats were made against Middleburg High School. The treats were investigated and found not to be credible.

However, some parents told Action News Jax that they are keeping their children home from school.

As a precaution, extra security is in place Thursday at the high school, according to a Clay County Schools representative.

"Any students found responsible for threats, will be disciplined to the fullest extent of the law," said Gavin Rollins from Clay County Schools.

An information session with parents will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Middleburg high school cafeteria, according to Rollins.
