Pedestrian hit, killed by CSX train in Clay County, troopers say

An Ocala man is dead after being struck by a CSX train in Clay County Wednesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., troopers said Shawn Cutrer, 27, was on the railroad tracks at the Birtchwood Drive Crossing and was struck by a train traveling southbound who was unable to stop.

The man was pronounced dead on scene.

Just arrived on-scene.
