JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Golden Isles Arts and Humanities will present Phil Morrison-Ken Trimmins Jazz Collective live at the Historic Ritz Theatre at 3 p.m.
This concert will be honoring Black History Month by featuring jazz standards and original compositions.

Phil Morrison is an award-winning songwriter whose music includes an official song for the Beijing Olympics, the unveiling of the Martin Luther King JR National Memorial Statute in Washington, D.C., the official song for Brunswick and the Golden Isles, “Take Me to the Coast of Georgia” and a tribute song paying homage to the historic event at Ibo Landing on St. Simons Island.
Dr. Kenneth Trimmins attended and received a Bachelor of Art in Music Education degree from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia , Master of Music in Classical Trumpet Performance degree from Mercer University, and Doctor of Music in Classical Trumpet Performance degree from The Florida State University.
Advance tickets for Golden Isles Arts & Humanities members are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors. Advance tickets for nonmembers are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors (age 65 and up). Price increases $5 if tickets are purchased the day of the show. The cost for students (with ID) is always $5 each.
